An Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court connected Thursday ordered the remand of a housewife, Olajumoke Olalere, 33, astatine Agodi Correctional facility, Ibadan, for allegedly stabbing her hubby to death.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi, who did not instrumentality the defendant’s plea for deficiency of jurisdiction, ordered her remand pending the ineligible proposal from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
She, thereafter, adjourned the lawsuit until March 5, 2025 for mention.
The constabulary charged Olalere with a number of murder.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, had told the tribunal that the suspect connected Oct. 30, astatine 9.00 p.m. allegedly caused the decease of her 39-year-old husband, Oluwasegun Tinubu.
Akinloye said the suspect allegedly stabbed her hubby with a weapon during a disagreement astatine their house, astatine Zone 5, Gbelu, Iyana – Agbala, Ibadan.
He said the offence contravened Section 316 and punishable nether Section 319 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
