After being freed, EFCC drag former speaker to court again, gives reason

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed an entreaty challenging the acquittal of Adeyemi Ikuforiji, erstwhile Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, connected wealth laundering charges. Ikuforiji and his erstwhile aide, Oyebode Atoyebi, were initially charged successful 2012 with a 54-count complaint involving N338.8 cardinal successful wealth laundering.

The EFCC's entreaty argues that the proceedings tribunal erred successful its judgment, specifically successful respect to the thresholds for transactions and the acceptance of currency payments without going done fiscal institutions, contrary to the Money Laundering Acts of 2004 and 2011. The lawsuit has undergone aggregate ineligible proceedings.
